ServerEngines™ Corp. Announces BladeEngine™ and BladeXchange™

Initial Implementation of 10 Gb Enterprise I/O Controller and 10 Gb Blade Fabric Creates Architectural Revolution for Enterprise Computing

Sunnyvale, California, February 8, 2006 — ServerEngines™ Corp., a leading independent supplier of next generation I/O for Enterprise Computing, today announced it has developed board modules that incorporate its BladeEngine™ 10 Gb Enterprise I/O Controller and its BladeXchange™10 Gb Blade Fabric technology. The revolutionary new I/O Controller and Blade Fabric solutions were designed specifically for IBM's new BladeCenter H system.

BladeEngine and BladeXchange enable the consolidation of networks typically found in a Blade Server system into a single 10 Gb fabric, enabling state-of-the-art performance while driving capital and management costs dramatically lower. BladeEngine incorporates industry leading iSCSI technology acquired from Adaptec in March 2005. This iSCSI technology builds on over five years of development by Adaptec and ServerEngines engineers.

"ServerEngines is a valued member of Blade.org whose active participation with products like BladeEngine and BladeXchange underscores our mutual goal to gather the brightest minds in an open development environment to create interoperable technologies that meet the needs of customers in all industries," said Doug Balog, chairman, Blade.org. "BladeCenter continues to set the industry agenda and today, that agenda is now a collaborative one shared with the ever expanding members of Blade.org."

"IBM's Blade Center enabled integration of multiple servers, networks, and storage choices into a single enclosure and became the market leader in Blade Servers. The new Blade Center H coupled with ServerEngines' Enterprise I/O Controller, BladeEngine, and our 10 Gb Blade Fabric, BladeXchange technologies enables an Architectural Revolution for Enterprise Computing," said Raju Vegesna, President, and CEO of ServerEngines. "ServerEngines' Revolutionary Architecture allows the integration of networking and storage into a single 10 Gb Fabric lowering capital and maintenance costs while providing state-of-the-art performance."
